About this role
Lead procurement for Greentek India Limited's solar projects, including utility-scale projects. Coordinate sourcing, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations and material delivery with engineering, projects and accounts teams.
Experience: 5 years, with experience in procurement for solar projects up to utility scale. Full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Key responsibilities
- Plan procurement requirements and delivery schedules with engineering and project teams for solar projects up to utility scale.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, electrical equipment and other project materials.
- Prepare requests for quotation, compare technical and commercial offers, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms and warranties.
- Coordinate purchase orders and supplier commitments through the company's approval process.
- Track manufacturing, dispatch and deliveries, resolve supply delays and material discrepancies, and maintain visibility of procurement risks.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP and coordinate with stores, site teams and accounts on receipts, invoices and payment follow-up.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience, with experience in procurement for solar projects up to utility scale.
- Working knowledge of solar project components, specifications, bills of quantities and procurement lead times.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers, compare quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Strong planning and coordination skills to manage multiple vendors and project delivery requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel and procurement documentation; experience using an ERP system preferred.
