What is a 15kw solar system?
The 15kW Solar system is a fairly large generation unit that is primarily suited to commercial establishments; however, it can also be suitable for residential clients if you have roof space and consistently high power usage patterns. The 15kW solar system would produce an average of 60kWh of power per day. A 15kW Solar system is typically comprised of 40 to 50 Solar panels (depending on the wattage of the Solar panels offered; 40 of the 335w Solar panels are required to achieve 15kW) and either a 10kW or 15kW inverter. The entire package would consist of 40 to 50 CEC Approved Solar Panels, a 10kW or 15kW CEC Approved Inverter, Roof Mounting, and an Electrical Kit that is approved for use in India.
IS THE 15KW SOLAR SYSTEM RIGHT FOR YOU?
To determine if this is the appropriate system size for you, we must first determine your average daily electricity consumption. This information is easily accessible on your most recent quarterly power bill. If your average daily consumption is between 50 and 70kWh (see the table below for 15KW SYSTEM OUTPUT IN MAJOR CITIES), the 15kW system is a good fit. As an example, a 15kW solar system would generate a comparable amount of energy to what you use daily while also allowing you to comfortably increase your daily consumption if necessary.
It is recommended that you audit your current electricity usage habits in order to maximise the return from the Solar system. Once you’ve identified the activities that use a significant amount of power, devise a plan to ensure that these appliances and activities are only used when the sun is shining.
